Leading today, Shaping Tomorrow

As we enter the second month of 2025, I look forward to the year ahead.

We have a wonderful organisation that is unique to our industry. Our history is amazing and something that we always need to treasure and respect, however, our future will be our legacy and that is where our attention must now be given.

We do not know how future generations will communicate or how the industry will evolve, however, Skål International must be at the forefront of our industry, or we will be left behind.

With that in mind your Executive Board is working on a “Strategic Way Forward”.  A plan that will set the course for the future.

We have several regions working on some amazing projects in the areas of membership, sustainability, trade events, training, communication, Skål Students and more. Diversity is also a large part of our future as we progress. Both Skål International and our industry must include all. We all need to work as one and share “Best Practice”.

Our membership support and assistance is essential for us to succeed in revitalising Skål International. A modernised Skål will attract new members and put us in a position to be at the forefront in the travel industry.

Your Executive Board will be discussing our “Strategic Way Forward” and asking for membership input. The plan will be then put forward at the Cusco Congress. I urge all Skål Intertnational Clubs to be part of this important discussion and plan to attend the Congress in Peru.

In closing, I wish you all a wonderful 2025 and look forward to meeting many of you as I attend the several events being held around the world.
